Diamonds are a girl's best friend

As promised in yesterday's post, another photo of the AbFab Throw in progress. I've now finished 1/2 diamond 4 and diamond 5. Tomorrow night, time permitting, I'll connect the last loose diamond from row 1 with diamond 6. Time permitting, of course, because I've done absolutely nothing about getting ready for my vacation and Paul and I are supposed to leave first thing Friday morning. I have a sneaky suspicion that it'll be closer to noon with the hours we've been putting in at work to get everything done before we leave. Doesn't it suck to have to put in so much overtime so you can take time off? Oh well, at least our company pays for every hour you put in even though you're salaried employees. It'll make for a really nice paycheck next week.

Success!! I did the last inch or so on Paul's socks and wove in the ends tonight watching "So you think you can dance". I really like the way this yarn knit up. It's too bad it's not available anymore. I'd love to pick up a few skeins in other colorways for more monstrous mutant man socks.

Remember these? They are next up in the "I need to be finished" knitting queue. Maybe with my newfound obsessive knitting mode, I'll be able to finish them up during vacation.

It still doesn't look like much, but at least it no longer resembles a pink curly fry. This is the beginning of Granite from Rowan 43. I really like the yarn. It's so soft and silky.

Anyone else planning to sign up for the UFOlympics? I think I'm going to. Looking at that never ending stream of WIP photos in my ravelry notebook has me thinking that I never finish anything. I just need to quit casting on more than I finish. Now to pick out what project I'm going to declare.
