Crushed, Defeated, and PO'd

Waaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

I sewed the skirt of the Russian Coat to the bodice, tried it on, and it looks like crap! When I tried on the bodice before, it seemed a bit tight, and I was sure I would have to block aggressively to get a comfortable fit. So, explain to me someone how this thing could have grown by about 8" just by putting the skirt on? It looks horrible! There is so much extra fabric in the back it sticks out like some fishtail skirt!

I'm so disappointed right now I don't even know if I can attempt any kind of fix today. This just doesn't make sense to me.

I've decided to set it aside until next weekend so I don't make it worse by jumping into some kind of fix that will make it worse :o(

Ahhh! I'm so sorry!

Good idea to take a step back before you do something you might regret. (Although I have a couple of those that have been lying in a lump in the closet forever. Don't do that either.)

Oh no! I was really looking forward to seeing that finished! Ugh. It's beautiful yarn though. All your work is always beautiful.
You're right, the Columbus knit & stitch meetups aren't working. They're just too far to go, and now that I've started dyeing it's hard to get anywhere! Maybe we can meet up at Knitter's Connection in June? Do you plan on going? I'm thinking of taking a class from Shannon Okey (nunno felting) and will, of course, be visiting the knitter's market. I haven't spent much on yarn since last June (other than stuff to dye) so I think I have some allowance coming! Always dangerous. Good to see you posting regularly again! Tricia
